How to choose a jewel on the Internet and not to be deceived

It usually happens to us, and it is an inherent quality of human beings, that when we decide to buy something unknown, and in particular a piece of jewellery, certain reasonable doubts arise when making a decision.

1.- Get to know the product and take your time

Depending on the jewel you are thinking of choosing, we recommend that you first visit various pages and explore their content. Not always, nor at every moment our perception of things is the same and sometimes we do not dedicate enough time to inspect and assess the details. Lately we give too much importance to the loading time of the page but a little patience can be much more beneficial than we think, therefore a small investment of time can make us acquire a good product.

2.- Examine the photos of the jewels

Once you have decided that the product is to your liking, we recommend that you examine the photographs of the articles, and make sure that they are real photographs. By the way, 99.9% of the photos have photo retouching, which is perfectly logical since the simple fact of obtaining a totally white background is a chimera and, frankly, with a white or black background the quality of the jewel is much better perceived. On the other hand, tell you that perfection does not exist and more when it comes to jewelry made by hand by artisans.

3.- Value the design above the price

The success of the works created by artists does not lie mainly in their value, but rather in what makes them different. This difference is determined by the artist's own identity stamp. A designer jewel has a character and a strength that represents the designer's own stamp, in addition to wanting to tell a story about experiences, ideas or feelings expressed through the jewels.

For a jewel to be such, apart from wanting to tell us something and the value that this aspect provides, it is the use of high-quality materials, where the metal (gold or silver) must present the appropriate contrasts that certify that the alloys are in accordance with the law. The saying "nobody pays four pesetas" is a real truth because a piece of jewelery made of sterling metal and high-quality stones can never reach the price of a piece of costume jewellery. This aspect leads us to value exclusivity more than offer.
